City Edge Past Arsenal in Title Thriller

St. James’ Park witnessed a statement performance on Saturday as Newcastle United outclassed Manchester United with a confident 3-1 victory that reignites their push for European football next season. From the opening whistle, Newcastle showed intent, pressing high and attacking with speed and precision. Their efforts were rewarded early when Alexander Isak calmly slotted home after a slick counterattack. Manchester United struggled to cope with Newcastle’s pace on the flanks and intensity in midfield, often losing the ball in dangerous areas.

The Magpies doubled their lead before halftime with a stunning long-range strike from Bruno Guimarães, sending the home fans into raptures. Manchester United looked flat and disorganized, with very few meaningful chances created in the first 45 minutes.

The second half brought more of the same, with Newcastle continuing to dominate possession and create chances. A third goal, this time from Anthony Gordon after a defensive lapse, sealed the result. Although Manchester United pulled one back through a late header from Casemiro, it was too little, too late.
